PRE-ORDER POLICY
Pre-Order Policy
Thank you for choosing to pre-order with Granite Games. Pre-ordering allows you to reserve upcoming products before they are released or before stock arrives. As pre-order products are dependent on manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and confirmed stock allocations, different payment, deposit and cancellation conditions may apply. Please read this Pre-Order Policy carefully before placing your order. By placing a pre-order with Granite Games, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions set out below.
1. PRE-ORDER AVAILABILITY & STOCK ALLOCATION
Placing a pre-order reserves your requested product against the stock we expect to receive. However, all pre-orders remain subject to final supplier or distributor allocation and availability. While we make every reasonable effort to fulfil all confirmed pre-orders, quantities supplied to Granite Games may occasionally be reduced, delayed or cancelled by a supplier or distributor. A pre-order therefore does not constitute an absolute guarantee of supply where circumstances outside Granite Games' reasonable control affect the quantity of stock we receive. Pre-orders are fulfilled according to the stock allocations available to Granite Games.
MAXIMUM ORDER QUANTITIES
Certain pre-order products may be subject to a maximum quantity per customer. Where a quantity limit applies, this will be stated on the relevant product listing or communicated as part of the pre-order offer. By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the applicable product information and understand that a maximum quantity may apply. Granite Games reserves the right to adjust or cancel quantities ordered in excess of the stated customer limit.
2. PRE-ORDER PAYMENT
Payment requirements may differ depending on the product or pre-order campaign. A pre-order deposit of between 50% and 100% of the estimated retail price may be required to secure your order. The applicable deposit or payment requirement will be stated on the relevant product listing, invoice or pre-order communication. Where 100% payment is required, the full estimated retail price must be paid in accordance with the payment terms provided. Where a 50% deposit is required, the deposit secures the customer's pre-order against the stock Granite Games expects to receive. Any outstanding balance will become payable once Granite Games has received confirmation of its stock allocation or otherwise advises the customer that the balance is due. The final retail price may be subject to adjustment in accordance with Section 9, Price Changes. Any product-specific payment conditions displayed on the product listing or communicated as part of the pre-order will apply in addition to this policy.
ACCEPTANCE OF PRE-ORDER TERMS
By proceeding with and placing a pre-order with Granite Games, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted the applicable terms and conditions of the pre-order, including the payment, deposit, cancellation and balance-payment requirements set out in this policy.
3. PAYMENT AFTER STOCK ALLOCATION
Where a pre-order requires an outstanding balance to be paid after stock allocation, Granite Games will issue a balance-payable invoice once our supplier or distributor has confirmed our allocation or when payment of the outstanding balance otherwise becomes due. The invoice will specify the amount outstanding and the applicable payment deadline. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the contact details supplied with their order are correct and that communications from Granite Games can be received. Failure to pay the outstanding balance within the applicable payment period will be handled in accordance with Section 4, Non-Payment & Termination of Pre-Orders.
4. NON-PAYMENT & TERMINATION OF PRE-ORDERS
Where a deposit has been paid and an outstanding balance remains payable, the balance must be paid within 7 business days from the date on which the balance-payable invoice is issued, unless a different payment deadline has been expressly stated for the applicable pre-order. Granite Games may send payment reminders during this period; however, responsibility for making payment by the due date remains with the customer.
If the outstanding balance has not been paid within the applicable payment period, Granite Games may terminate the pre-order. Where a pre-order is terminated due to the customer's failure to pay the outstanding balance by the required deadline, the deposit will be forfeited. The product will not be dispatched to the customer, and Granite Games may release the reserved product for sale to another customer to recover costs associated with the pre-order.
Customers who repeatedly fail to pay for confirmed pre-orders may be required to make 100% upfront payment when placing future pre-orders. Granite Games reserves the right to restrict or decline future pre-orders where there is a history of repeated non-payment or cancellations. Termination of a pre-order due to non-payment under this section is separate from a customer-requested cancellation under Section 6 and will not automatically attract an additional cancellation fee unless expressly permitted by this policy.
5. ESTIMATED RELEASE, ARRIVAL & SHIPPING DATES
Any release, arrival, delivery or shipping dates displayed on a pre-order product are estimates only, unless expressly stated otherwise. Some pre-order products may not have an estimated release or arrival date when they are first listed. Estimated dates may change due to circumstances outside Granite Games' control, including manufacturer production schedules, international shipping, customs clearance, distributor schedules, supplier delays or changes to the official product release date. Granite Games will dispatch pre-order products as soon as reasonably possible after the stock has arrived, been received into inventory and the applicable order requirements have been completed. A change to an estimated release, arrival or shipping date does not automatically constitute a cancellation of the pre-order.
6. CHANGES & CUSTOMER-REQUESTED CANCELLATIONS
Customers may request changes to or cancellation of a standard pre-order while the applicable pre-order period remains open, subject to any product-specific conditions. Once the pre-order period has closed, the order has been submitted to our supplier or distributor, or stock allocations have been confirmed, the pre-order may be considered final and may no longer qualify for cancellation or refund. Where a customer-requested cancellation is permitted, a standard cancellation fee of 15% of the pre-order value will apply, unless a different product-specific cancellation fee has been stated.
Large pre-orders, special-order quantities or customers with a history of repeated cancellations may be subject to additional or different cancellation conditions. Where such conditions apply, they will be communicated as part of the applicable pre-order terms. Customer-requested cancellations under this section are separate from pre-orders terminated due to non-payment under Section 4, Non-Payment & Termination of Pre-Orders. The standard 15% cancellation fee will therefore not automatically apply where a pre-order is terminated by Granite Games due to non-payment.
7. POKÉMON TRADING CARD GAME PRE-ORDERS
Pokémon Trading Card Game products are subject to stricter pre-order conditions because quantities may be limited and are frequently subject to supplier or distributor allocations. Where cancellation of a Pokémon Trading Card Game pre-order is permitted at the customer's request, a 25% cancellation fee will apply. The 25% cancellation fee replaces the standard 15% cancellation fee set out in Section 6 and will not be charged in addition to it for the same cancellation. By placing a Pokémon Trading Card Game pre-order, you acknowledge and accept these additional product-specific pre-order conditions.
8. QUANTITY ADJUSTMENTS
Granite Games reserves the right to adjust the quantity of a pre-order where the quantity received from a supplier or distributor is lower than the quantity originally expected or ordered. Where we cannot supply the full quantity ordered, we will notify the affected customer as soon as reasonably possible. Customers will not be charged for products that Granite Games is unable to supply. Where payment has already been received for products that cannot be supplied, the affected amount will be handled in accordance with Section 10, Unfulfilled Pre-Orders. Quantity adjustments made by Granite Games due to supplier or distributor allocations will not be treated as customer-requested cancellations and will not attract a cancellation fee.
9. PRICE CHANGES
Pre-order prices are based on the information available to Granite Games at the time the product is listed. In exceptional circumstances, a supplier, distributor, manufacturer, exchange-rate movement, import cost, tax, duty or other factor may result in a material change to the final retail price before the product is dispatched. Where a pre-order price must be adjusted, Granite Games will notify the customer before dispatch and advise them of the revised price and any options available to them. Granite Games will not charge an increased amount without first notifying the customer. Where a deposit has already been paid, any adjustment to the final retail price will be reflected in the outstanding balance payable.
10. UNFULFILLED PRE-ORDERS
If Granite Games is unable to fulfil all or part of a pre-order because stock is unavailable, our allocation has been reduced or cancelled, or the product is no longer available from our supplier or distributor, we will notify the affected customer. The unavailable item or quantity will be cancelled. Where payment has already been received for an item that Granite Games is unable to supply, the customer will be offered an appropriate refund or store credit, subject to the circumstances of the order. Any refund or store credit applicable to a partially fulfilled order will relate to the portion of the order that Granite Games is unable to supply. Cancellation fees will not apply where Granite Games is unable to fulfil the pre-order.
11. ORDERS CONTAINING PRE-ORDER & IN-STOCK PRODUCTS
If an order contains both in-stock and pre-order products, the entire order may be held until all products are available for dispatch. Customers who would prefer available products to be dispatched separately may contact Granite Games to request separate delivery. Additional shipping charges may apply where an order is divided into multiple shipments at the customer's request.
12. PRODUCT INFORMATION & CHANGES
Pre-order product images, packaging, specifications, components, release information and descriptions may be based on preliminary information supplied by manufacturers, publishers, suppliers or distributors. Final products may therefore differ from promotional images, prototypes or preliminary product information. Granite Games will endeavour to update product listings when significant changes become known. Minor changes to packaging, artwork, specifications or product information made by the manufacturer or publisher do not automatically constitute grounds for cancellation.
13. COMMUNICATION
Important pre-order information, including payment requests, balance-payable invoices, allocation changes, price changes, delays, cancellations and shipping notifications, may be communicated using the email address or other contact details supplied with the order. Customers are responsible for providing accurate and current contact information and for checking their email, including spam or junk folders, for communications relating to their pre-orders. Failure to receive or read a communication does not automatically extend an applicable payment deadline where the communication was correctly sent to the contact details supplied by the customer. Customers are encouraged to contact Granite Games if they believe they should have received a pre-order payment request or other important communication but have not received it.
14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Granite Games may amend this Pre-Order Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our business practices, supplier requirements or applicable regulations. Any revised policy will apply to pre-orders placed after the revised policy takes effect unless otherwise stated. The terms applicable to an existing pre-order will generally be those applicable to that transaction when the pre-order was placed, together with any product-specific conditions accepted by the customer.
